Mr. Kaji pursues a variety of expressions using clay and firing in the vast nature of Hokkaido.
This is a series finished by applying color as if to soak it into the unglazed base before firing.
Instead of covering the surface with color, the color looks as if it has soaked into the clay itself. Blue, green, and gray overlap complexly, creating a deep expression reminiscent of deep forests and moist earth.
The traces of the potter's wheel and the texture of the clay overlapping the shades of color are also one of the sceneries that differ from piece to piece. You can feel a primitive yet modern appearance typical of Mr. Kaji.
It is a vessel that adds quiet color to your usual dining table while accepting the color of the dish.
