Mizuta-san’s works possess a profound sense of the cycle between life and death.
Through his daily life surrounded by the reclaimed materials he has gathered, the forms of creatures, wings, and bones gradually begin to emerge within his mind from each individual piece.
Inspired by temple architectural carvings, this work evokes the intersection of two opposing passages of time. It reflects the years when it was crafted in sacred devotion and revered, alongside the slow centuries of abandonment and decay that followed.
